Although these deformities often resolve as the child gets older, it’s best to get it checked out, especially if a parent has the deformity which has persisted into adulthood (which is the case here).

Then, he or she will do an examination. After that, it might be wise to do X-rays or even possibly an MRI scan. That is the proper way to proceed with knee pain.
