Did we mention that lifestyle changes can be hard? Exercise is one of those changes that whether you have IBD or not, may be a struggle to start. When you are tired and nauseous as a result of your IBD, exercise can really seem like the last thing you want to do. Exercise is important for every body system, and it does not have to intensive to be effective. Remember that if you are new to exercising, it is important to start slow. Once you get into a routine, even if it is just walking, you can begin to add time and intensity until you start to get the benefits you are looking for. These can include a boost in mood as well as overall stress relief. Not to mention the physical benefits that exercise has on your body!
