As sick as the lungs and other organs are on the inside, an individual with CF does not show this on the outside. Just by looking at them, you would never guess that they had a severe illness due to their deceivingly healthy appearance. Even though everyday tasks prove quite difficult, it can be nice not to have to wear the disease on your sleeve.
