10 Tips to Own Muscular Dystrophy and Other Chronic Illnesses

Take a deep breath

Living with muscular dystrophy can be critically frustrating, especially in the late stages of the disease. When dealing with frustration, it’s important to train your mind in such a way that it won’t turn the frustration into anger. It’s okay to feel some kind of indignation but letting it consume you won’t help you or the ones around you. Stop, take a deep breath, and focus on the things that make you grateful to be alive. Dwelling on things that are out of your control will only deprive you of the happiness that the things you do control can give you.
