9. Exercise is good but too much of it can lead to further damage
Maintaining joint and muscle flexibility is important for patients living with muscular dystrophy. There are certain exercises recommended to keeping the joints and muscles healthy and lithe. These exercises also prevent them from involuntarily contracting. Aerobic exercises can also be done by MD patients as they help the cardiovascular system to stay healthy. Patients are strongly advised to be careful when planning their exercise routines as too much skeletal muscle strain is potentially harmful.
