11. Maurice White

Co-leader, producer, and founder of Earth, Wind and Fire, Maurice White found out he had Parkinson’s in 1992 when he was only 50. Parkinson’s did not stop Maurice, however. He carried on touring and working until 1995. Maurice White was a winner of seven Grammy awards and worked with Neil Diamond, Barbara Streisand, Deniece Williams, and Cher. He died at the age of 74 in his sleep.
