10. Choosing to be gluten-free: Not the best option if you're trying to lose weight
Gluten-free diets are all the rage right now. Are we really seeing a spike in gluten intolerance and celiac disease or is this just a new fad diet? Don’t be fooled into thinking gluten-free means healthier or better for weight loss. In fact, many of these foods are high in calories, sugar and salt to make up for the lack of desirable taste and feel of gluten. Always read your food labels and ingredient lists! Remember not to forsake awareness to the rest of your diet and calorie intake when you think you’ve found a fast track to weight loss. There’s never a magic quick fix!
