20. Michelangelo

The Italian sculptor and painter is famous for his works during the Italian Renaissance. Two doctors, Dr. Muhammad Arshad and Professor Michael Fitzgerald stated that Michelangelo may have suffered from Asperger’s syndrome – “Michelangelo’s single-minded work routine, unusual lifestyle, limited interests, poor social and communication skills and various issues of life control appear to be features of high-function autism or Asperger’s syndrome.” The characteristics that he displayed may have been associated with a diagnosis of autism, helping him to become the artistic individual that he is well-known for.
