Put down the soda--for good!
If you’re going to cut out anything completely from your diet, make it soda. This can be difficult due to its addictive sugar content, but in truth, soda offers absolutely no nutritional value to your body; things can only improve by not drinking it.
High in calories, sugar, and very little else, soft drinks are so bad for you it’s not even funny. They erode tooth enamel, causing decay, increase your risk for diabetes, and may even damage your bones due to their phosphorous content. Diet sodas are no better, despite their low caloric values. They almost always contain artificial sweeteners and other additives that are harmful to the body, such as increasing your risk of cancer.
When you stop drinking soda, your focus and memory improve, your teeth become whiter, and your kidneys and bladder become stronger. It may be a hard addiction to kick, but giving up soda will greatly improve your overall health, so don’t hesitate to quit!
