The recent approval of a new kind of insulin could reduce some of the stress diabetics face. Fiasp, a fast-acting insulin created by Novo Nordisk, kicks in about 2.5 minutes aftet its injected, as opposed to the 5 to 10 minutes that regular insulin takes.
This is great news, especially for those diabetics who like to eat out. A shortened window will help diabetics plan better, especially when ordering at restaurants where there is less control over when the food arrives.
