Although Thibodeaux was hopeful that his health issues would be put behind him, he knew almost immediately that something was not right after his surgery. “I didn’t feel like it took real well. My body kept having little bouts of rejection. Even though I was healthy, I still had to get antibiotics every now and then” he said.

He experienced complications and an immense amount of stress, which ultimately cost him his marriage. However, he was determined to move forward and after eight months, he returned to work. “I was worried about if I could still chase people. I got in a foot pursuit like two weeks after I came back, and I had no problem. I caught my guy. It was no issue at all. I was pretty comfortable after that” said Thibodeaux.
