Day 13: Go vegetarian at least 1 day a week
It turns out Meatless Mondays are actually great for weight loss! Of course, you can choose any day, but at least once a week, pretend to be a vegetarian. Structuring your meals around organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains can really boost your weight loss goals. Plant-based diets provide more fuel for your body rather than being stored as fat, meaning less excess weight to carry around and a greater caloric burn.
Now, going without meat once a week is not an excuse to switch out a burger for an ice cream sundae; you have to choose wholesome foods. An example of a meatless meal plan could include scrambled eggs and a slice or two of whole wheat toast for breakfast, a salad with a fruit cup for lunch, and a bean-and-cheese quesadilla for dinner. But there are tons of other delicious and nutritious vegetarian options that are easy to make and full of flavor, so don’t be afraid to give it a try! After all, it’s only once a week.
