Day 19: Be mindful of any snacks
Be careful not to let snacking sabotage your weight-loss effort. Many of us idly reach for snacks without giving it much thought, and those extra calories here and there can really add up. Some of us feel an automatic inclination to reach in the snack drawer even when we’re not hungry, out of boredom or stress. Eating healthy, nutritious meals throughout the day will keep you feeling full and help you avoid the urge to snack.
If you are truly feeling hungry and won’t be eating your next meal for a while, then by all means grab a snack. Having healthy snacks on hand at all times is key. Be prepared by keeping a granola bar or a piece of fruit in your bag or at your desk instead of buying a candy bar at the vending machine.
