The 30-Day Weight Loss Challenge That Actually Works

Day 22: Slowly incorporate more into your workout

You incorporated fitness into your routine gradually, so that you wouldn’t wear yourself out from the get-go. Now that you’ve built some endurance and have gotten into the habit of exercising regularly, it’s time to take things up a notch. Build on the progress you’ve already made by gradually increasing the intensity of your workouts. Working your way up slowly but steadily will enable you to continually improve your physical fitness without overextending yourself. Perhaps you started out doing 20 squats per day; one week later, you might increase this number to 50 squats per day, and so on. Changing up your routine will keep you from getting bored, and continually challenging yourself to improve will keep you motivated and energized. As your health and fitness continue to improve, you’ll feel inspired to maintain your active lifestyle.
