Day 26: Take note of how much water you drink
Drinking plenty of water is important for everyone, and it’s especially important if you’re trying to lose weight. Drinking water helps you to lose weight by boosting your metabolism and helping your digestive system function more effectively. When you’re dehydrated, your body simply can’t function as well as it’s supposed to and your metabolism won’t be as efficient. Furthermore, it can sometimes be difficult to distinguish between feeling hungry and feeling thirsty, so we might find ourselves reaching for a snack when we should really be grabbing a glass of water, instead. The majority of us don’t drink anywhere near as much water as we’re supposed to, so it’s important to be mindful of how much water you drink each day. Keeping a record of how much water you drink is the best way to ensure adequate hydration. You can easily keep a tally on a notepad or on your phone.
