The first person is Michael Klinkhammer who is 35 years old and has Becker muscular dystrophy. In a video shared by the Story Hive, Michael said that he spends all his time advocating for the disease. Not only does he raise awareness of muscular dystrophy, but also help young people with the disease to get the most out of life. Michael helps them realize that with proper guidance, one can be more independent than imagined.
He explains that those with muscular dystrophy enjoy everything that others without the disease enjoy. Michael says that muscular dystrophy patients can still have the same experience as those without it. However, they have to do things differently or slowly.
