Sitzes, the representative for the National Seating & Mobility said that the chair was supposed to be a donation from another person who had passed away from Lou Gehrig’s disease earlier last year. This person had specifically expressed that his chair was to be a donation for brave Haji. However, due to the difference in size, his specific wheelchair couldn’t be donated to Haji. Instead, Cary White of Quantum Rehab, the manufacturer of these chairs, offered to donate a wheelchair fit for Haji’s size.
