ARM Book Nook helps young adults with autism learn work skills and find jobs
A bookstore in New Brunswick is the perfect place to help young people with autism not only grow in an optimal environment but also learn to be valuable members of their society. Run by a staff of only autistic young adults, the store helps these young adults build on their communication skills and work ethic.
The bookstore was welcomed by a supportive and caring community
The used bookstore, “ARM Book Nook” was founded by an organization called Autism Miramichi 3 years ago. Initiated by funding through the March of Dimes, the store was wholeheartedly supported by its community. They received over 10,000 books in donations prior to the opening of the store.
