Accommodations are There for a Reason
While pride may not be an issue for everyone, it is important to remember that the accommodations in place for people with lupus is there because it helps to even the playing field. Many people feel self-conscious about taking advantage of any accommodations offered to you. A college will not offer unfair advantages. If a college take the time to make accommodations, it means that there is a distinctly unleveled playing ground at play and they are trying to make it fair. Do not make school harder for yourself than necessary because of pride issues.
