A New App Is Changing Multiple Sclerosis Self-Care

Treatment involvement

This shows how the CBT is embedded in the app. The advantage is that it is done from the palm of the hand and users do not have to go see a CBT therapist to make some progress with decreasing their fatigue levels. The app is a way for patients to maximize their time, and have some control over the process. Of course, there is more that contributes to fatigue with MS. It is not just a matter of people knowing what contributes to their fatigue, and working to change it. As the disease progresses fatigue will likely increase too. But anything that can delay this process and improve an individual’s quality of life is a good thing. Also, with MS being primarily diagnosed in young adults, this is a great way to get these tech savvy individuals more involved in their health management.
