A Story of Friendship Made Stronger by Autism

Mason’s mother is very thankful that Ian got her son into sports. “He's made tons of friends through cross country and each season has won the 'Most Inspiring Athlete' award,” she said. Ian has helped to encourage (but not force!) Mason to leave his comfort zone in other ways as well, helping him to expand his horizons.

Though it sounds like Ian has done a lot for Mason without much in return, Mason has been a positive influence in Ian’s life as well, who attributes to Mason a large amount of help and support. The friendship grew so much to extend not only between the two boys but also their families as well.
