Brett Wall, who is the senior vice president of brain therapies at Medtronic, mentioned that sensors may be included in DBS in the future. These sensors can make it possible to respond to various changes in the patterns of the brain. He also added that Medtronic hopes to make the size of its device smaller and its generators capable of being recharged. They want to make it small enough to be implanted on top of the patient’s skull.
