Though regular drinking appears to benefit our health, the researchers also warn against heavy alcohol consumption. The study did show some correlation with drinking and longer life, but we can’t forget that there is also so much evidence out there for the harmful effects of alcohol. The researchers even go as far to suggest that despite their findings, people who don't drink should not start drinking for the sake of protecting their brain health. Weighing the benefit versus the harm that comes with drinking alcohol, it seems that there is definitely more harm than good. It’s best to keep drinking in moderation or even abstain from it altogether.
