Are PTSD Patients More Likely to Develop Lupus?

Where is lupus more prevalent?

Fortunately, lupus only affects 20 to 70 individuals per 100,000 inhabitants, making it fairly uncommon. Epidemiology studies are, to this day, inconclusive and don’t help much to determine the factors which lead to its onset. The disease is more frequent in women, especially those in the 45-64 age range. Furthermore, the countries with the most incidence and prevalence of lupus are the United States and France, while the countries where it is more uncommon are Japan and Iceland.
