Asthma Medicine May Hold the Key for Parkinson's Disease

What the Studies Show

Recent studies show that people who have inhaled the highest doses of Salbutamol were significantly less likely (by about 50%) to not develop Parkinson’s disease as people who did not take Salbutamol.

This is a gigantic deal in the medical community, as Parkinson’s Disease is currently uncured as well as leaves scientists with more questions than they went in with. “I’m sure it’s going to be a landmark paper,” neurologist Joseph Jankovic, who works at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas weighed in. He was not even involved with any research about it, but had heard a lot about it.
