Brooklyn School Hosts Kid-Created Autism Awareness Talk Show

This program taught students to embrace what's unique

Children with autism and other developmental delays should not be excluded from activities just because they differ in social skills and intellectual abilities. The students at P53K and P.S. 130 were able to show how brave and determined they were to stand up for themselves. It was not just about displaying their differences and getting others to understand them, but also about embracing them in their unique forms. In the words of Ellen DeGeneres at the end of every episode of her talk show, “Be kind to one another.”
