Treatment with ketamine might be controversial, but it also helps.

We can't deny it. There's strong evidence that ketamine can be used to treat chronic pain disorders and syndromes like fibromyalgia. Patients who have been administered the drug over a short period of time and in a controlled environment, reported a decrease in pain and other benefits. While it does sound promising, there is still a lot that needs to be researched, like how the drug interacts with fibromyalgia and what the long-term benefits of the drug are.
