Teen Who Battled Cancer Gives Back to Make-A-Wish

Make-A-Wish remains committed to a vision of granting a wish to every eligible child

“For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy” wrote the foundation on their website.

Make-A-Wish Foundation is confident that the overall experience can be life-changing for the children, their families, and everyone else involved – donors, volunteers, sponsors, medical professionals, and communities. It is what drives them to use their donated resources in whatever ways they can and for as long as possible. “We all look forward to the day when no more children have life-threatening medical conditions. Until that time, Make-A-Wish remains committed to a vision of granting a wish to every eligible child. Because wishes make very sick kids feel better – and sometimes, when they feel better, they get better” wrote the foundation on their website.
