Teen Who Battled Cancer Gives Back to Make-A-Wish

Finding a way to make the world better through wishes

Eli attributed the support of his community in making his car show a success. “As soon as you mention Make-A-Wish, people’s faces light up, they understand what you're going for” he said. At the end of the day, he was able to collect hundreds of toy donations for a cause close to his heart. And his great uncle’s gift proved to be so much more than just a sweet ride.

Eli’s story is merely one of many from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Hundreds to thousands of dedicated staff members, volunteers, donors, and other supporters strive to ensure that the foundation’s vision is made possible and that the expectations of every child’s wish are exceeded. In the United States and its territories, over 15,300 wishes are granted per year. On average, one wish is granted every 34 minutes.
