Grief doesn’t just happen when someone dies.  Grief happens whenever there is a loss, which may include life, but also when something is taken away from someone due to illness, disease, or for any other reason. 

Grief is a natural part of life that anyone can have.  Remember that it’s okay to be sad and to feel blue about missing out on certain things.  A good cry is sometimes all that is needed to get back to normal and continue in the role of a caregiver.
