Georgia Pratt: A model who has designed innovative clothing that fits everyone

Model and designer Georgia Pratt moved from her native New Zealand to New York City to pursue a career in the fashion industry. While studying fashion design as a university student, Pratt began to critique the rigid, harmful rules society imposes on female bodies. Pratt was fortunate to grow up in an environment where she didn’t feel shamed or pressured about her size. However, she did struggle to find comfortable, practical clothes that fit well.

Her desire to find quality women’s clothing with the room to move inspired her to design clothing for women and girls with a variety of different body shapes and sizes. Pratt’s innovative designs helped make fashion more accessible for all women. Pratt recognized the importance of providing options, not just for women of different sizes and body types, but also for women who desire loose-fit clothing with room for movement. Pratt hopes her own designs will inspire larger changes and promote more diverse and inclusive sizing in the fashion industry.
