Interestingly, the results revealed that there were hardly any differences in the levels of CD 16-positive monocytes in the lupus patients or the control group. On the other hand, the total levels of monocytes, in general, and the CD16-negatives were vastly higher in quantity in SLE patients as compared to their healthy counterparts.
