Miller focuses on the positive and says he's blessed. Many with Duchenne have severe cognitive impairment. When he gets tired, he uses a power wheelchair. Mentally, however, he is alert, on point and hasn't lost any cognitive skills.

He says, “The main thing I’ve gotten from Duchenne is that I focus on what I can do and don’t think about the things I am unable to do.” That’s how you should handle obstacles. Focus on what you can do and not what you can’t do and life will be happy and full.”
