Community Rallies Around Student Fighting Lymphoma
She had quite a bright crowd
On a cold winter night, hundreds of family members, friends, and staff members from Hamilton Elementary School and Troy Athens High School gathered together at Beaumont Hospital’s parking lot to shine their flashlights and say a sweet good night to all the children, including Mayne. Cliff Brandmier, Liverpool Football Club coach for Mayne’s soccer team, even brought Mayne’s teammates and other members from the club to cheer her on. “We are a team off the field as well as on the field. And these girls are supporting their teammate and friend, hoping to see her back on the soccer field in uniform again soon,” he said.
