Couple-Focused Therapy May Help with Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea and relationships

Researchers of the study found that most of the time, partners help their spouses know their sleep problems and help them through treatment and diagnosis. Patients also admitted that if it wasn’t for their partner’s help, they might not have known about their sleep problem or they won’t have known how bad it is.

Most of them took years and repeated discussions to make an appointment to look for help. Partners also said they were concerned about their partner’s health as well as theirs. One partner said that at first, love makes people blind and with time, people get tired and they get kids. Therefore, a single moment of sleep becomes extremely important.
