IBD and IBS are the same thing!
IBD is neither cancer or “just” a belly ache, and it is not IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) either. IBS is a disorder that may come and go quite rapidly and may only last for a few hours or maybe a day or two at a time. People with chronic IBD and inflammation generally experience at least some level of pain or fatigue every single day of their lives and unlike temporary IBS, IBD can cause severe pain to the entire body as the immune system begins to attack itself.
