Cystic Fibrosis: Summertime Tips

Protect your medications

Be wary of keeping medications in hot temperatures. Some CF medications may require refrigeration while others may not. To check on the temperature needs of each of your medications, contact your pharmacist or doctor.

When traveling or staying outdoors for long periods of time, you may need to be extra careful and creative at keeping medications cool while on the go or out in the heat. Pack a small cooler or lunch box with an ice pack. Never expose your meds, especially enzymes, to direct sunlight or extreme heat.
