A Christmas Miracle: Man Fell 47 Stories and Woke Up Christmas Day

Alcides Moreno, 37, fell from a New York skyscraper that was 47 stories high. His brother was working alongside him, washing the building’s windows before the platform gave out. While it killed him, Alcides was sent to the nearest hospital where doctors operated on him, right in the emergency room because they couldn’t risk moving him to the operating room.

For three weeks, he was left in a coma. But, soon after, he began to show signs of consciousness and spoke his first words on Christmas day. And, soon, Alcides walked out of the hospital less than a month later. When you fall from just a 4-story building, you have a 50 percent chance of living.
