Chinas Peng Shulin only had his torso when he was cut in half by a truck. He stood at just 26 inches tall. Normally, this accident would kill someone, but doctors used skin grafts from his face to repair the remains of his body. Peng Shulin was left bed-ridden for almost a decade, and nearly everyone believed that he wouldn't be able to live a normal life again. However, the doctors at the China Rehabilitation Research Center in Beijing had different plans.

Because of a prosthetic specially designed with bionic legs, Peng Shulin was able to walk again and is now working on his upper body strength and is able to get out of bed using a walker.
