Grants to Support Parkinson’s Studies Get Approved
Parkinson’s disease is a chronic neurodegenerative brain disorder. It involves the impairment and death of neurons, a vital nerve cell in the brain. A person’s brain slowly stops producing a neurotransmitter called, Dopamine. Most symptoms take years to develop but progress over time, making it harder to lead a normal life. At present, there is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease, albeit it is not fatal.
