How the Unbeatables are helping the IBD community
Using the novels as part of a large campaign that included social media shares and digital ads, Takeda Pharmaceuticals wanted to inspire patients to have confidence about opening up about their disease. It’s common for people living with IBD to hide their disease, and Takeda hopes that this project can help encourage them not to feel ashamed.
The creators of the project were inspired by the inner strength that all people with IBD have. They also saw that many of these people would hide the disease from their families and health care providers. That’s why they created the novel. They wanted to encourage these everyday superheroes to feel safe and unashamed about their disease.
