Takeda also makes drugs to treat IBD
It turns out Takeda is also a marketer for the new biologic called Entyvio. Though the drug met with lots of competition in the IBD market, there was no mention of the drug within the story. They launched a separate Entyvio marketing campaign just before the publication of the graphic novel.
The marketing campaign began early last year in 2016. It’s a tough and competitive world out there for the drug market. Entyvio has many competitors in the niche of IBD medications. To make things harder, most of the competitors are already well-known drug brands including Humira, Enbrel, and Remicade.
Takeda vows to help raise money for IBD through their campaign
Not only is Takeda raising awareness, but they are also philanthropists. The company promises to donate a dollar to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America for every view of their online comic series up to a maximum of 25 thousand dollars.
