Growing Closer to a Cure for Alzheimer's

Alzheimer's disease today

Sadly, Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. About five million people have the disease. Most of those people are women. That number is expected to rise to sixteen million by the year 2050. Worldwide, that number is projected to be one hundred and fifteen million by the time 2050 rolls around.

Despite this depressing news, scientists remain committed to finding treatment methods and even a cure for Alzheimer’s. Indeed, we do know a fair amount about the disease, though there is still more to learn.
