High or Low Weight May Make Rheumatoid Arthritis Worse

Considering both weight and RA, finding a healthy balance between rest and exercise is not easy

Whether you are obese or you have lost weight due to the unwanted symptoms of RA, such as pain and fever from inflammation, it is important to get better nutrition in order to build up your body and take control of your weight. However, you may be at a disadvantage, seeing as how exercise is greatly impacted by the inherent nature of your condition. While general exercise is beneficial for your joints, it is important that you rest during disease flare-ups, but it is equally important that you keep moving a limited amount. In addition, the side effects of certain RA drugs may be causing a yo-yo effect on your body, leading to weight gain or weight loss.
