Vincent's recovery: A long and slow battle
Recovery has been both slow and challenging. He needed to retrain the left side of his body, and for this, he was moved to Sunnybrook's St. John's rehab center in October, 2017.
In November, Vincent was brought to the rehab's outpatient program to continue his recovery.
His brother, Omar, was there when Vincent began to move his foot.
“Honestly, I’ve never seen you fight so hard for anything,” said Omar. Vincent’s battle has made the brothers closer than ever. “You fought through school and everything, but that was so easy for you because you’re a genius. But seeing you work at something physical so hard was really awesome.”
