Intracranial Visual System Changes May Predict Parkinson’s Disease
Where the research lacks
Despite the progress, there are several areas of research that have remained problematic. Service delivery and health system problems top the list. The root cause of the struggle is the same in all areas: poor resources in struggling countries. In these countries, there is a lack of adequate guidance and supervision to Parkinson’s patients. Allocation of funds is also distorted, resulting in disability to provide the necessary surgical procedures and even the most basic pharmacological treatments. Considering the seriousness of the disease, all these should soon be addressed.
