  • Lupus is known to affect women more than the men population. There is a variation in the ratio between the female to male. The cases of lupus in men drop if they are beyond the age of 50 years. Those women who suffer from lupus tend to have higher levels of estrogen and also lower levels of testosterone.

  • There are no one tests which can determine and confirm that the symptoms are due to lupus. The doctor would need to carry out multiple tests for determining the same.
