Lymphoma and the Remarkable Power of the Mind

Palliative care is not always for terminal cases

Palliative care can be provided to any child battling a chronic illness. It does not have to be terminal. For cancer patients, the point of palliative care is to relieve symptoms and side effects caused by the disease and/or treatment. This type of care helps children to live comfortably while also addressing his or her psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Ideally palliative care is started early on and is given alongside cancer treatment.
