Both palliative and hospice care are things that parents can talk with their child’s healthcare provider about. Another thing that a lot of parents struggle with is talking to their child about death. This is an incredibly tough thing to face, and how and when parents choose to talk to their child is personal and often based on the child’s individual situation. Timing can be a factor, and if the cancer is progressing slowly parents can have a little more time to think about how to address the situation.
