Jair is an inspiration for other patients with Alzheimer's
The familiarity of going up the same mountain every day is something Jair relies on. He says when he thinks of his future, “All I know is that I’m not getting any better, but I don’t think I’m getting that much worse that quickly.” The idea of climbing a mountain every day may seem like too much for some Alzheimer's patients. For those who might want to give up and let the disease take over, Jair offers some words of inspiration: "I know there are a lot of people who have Alzheimer's who couldn't do what I do physically [...] But to them, I would say do something you have done before and do it again."
